Stupid me [Nov. 27th, 2009|01:24 pm]
While at work last night I saw the black friday ad for Best buy and they had the computer I wanted for $330 less than normal price, so I called my sister up and asked if Ami could watch justus instead of me. Normally I don't do black friday cause it's just not worth it but I've been needing a new computer for about a year now. So I pick up my friend Tim, and drop ami off and stood in line in the rain from 11:30 last night to about 5:30 this morning. Freezing my ass off. It got to the point I couldn't feel my toes. Tim brought lawn chairs, and an umbrella (cause he has a brain, I was ready to stand there and freeze my tuchus off). Found out the girl in front of us was pregnant so shared the umbrella ella ella with her and the girl holding place in line behind us. I provided entertainment with my i-pod , and we did monty python quotes all night. At 4 am we got a ticket for the comp and at 5 we entered I answered some questions and went over to pay for the comp. The price said $965 and tim spoke up cause I was way too tired and cold to notice shit. The guy corrected the price and I walked in back and got my computer. Drove to burger king for a well deserved burger, tim had a large fries cause he's dainty. and drove him back to his car.Dropped the computer back at my house. Ended the night at kylees house and slept with justus and ami on the floor in the living room. woke up 2 hours later and went home to sleep in my warm ass bed with the electric blanket cranked to lava. I smell of rain, sweat, and victory.

Just went to the store to get some dog food, and this couple in a jeep cuts me off., and the girl flipped me off as they did so. Then they took the turn lane I did and went to the same store. I guess they thought I was gonna go off on them or something cause they didn't even get out of the car. I just saw them talking to each other look at me and then take off out of the parking lot like a shot. Let that be a lesson folks. Don't cut people off, or if you do don't be a douche about it. I wasn't gonna hurt you lil fella, just DFA.

Saved by AWESOME! [Sep. 14th, 2009|06:00 pm]
I took sahvere and justice swimming today after therapy and we were getting ready to leave. I was putting on my shirt and I hear justice say "CANBALL!" followed by a splash. Justice is only 20 months old, but he picked up the cannonball thing from sahvere who does it constantly. So sahvere tried to keep him above water, but i jumped in and got him. When I got him out of the water he started hitting me, like he wasn't ready to leave the pool yet. So yeah almost shit myself.

Red red kroovy [Jul. 19th, 2009|02:59 am]
Went and saw "A clockwork orange" at the garland tonight. Took chris and vicky with us. Some drunk kept blurting out things while the movie was going. Things that only had a tenuous connection to what  was going on in the movie. A woman would come on screen and he's blurt out Sarah palin!, or something about Al franken. So if nothing else at least he was bipartisan.

Liar! [Jun. 24th, 2009|02:09 pm]
Anyone hear anything about Governor of south carolina Mark Sanford running off to Argentina to get his fuck on, and telling his wife and staff that he was going hiking? This is one of the guys who came down on clinton during the Lewinsky deal. There's just something satisfying to me about a family values politician getting caught having an affair.

I've been reading the comic invincible for a couple years now. I got to it late so I've only been reading the tpbs with a glance at the occasional monthly comic( Because I'm basically a kid who can't wait for christmas day). Today I got volume 10 of the book and its gorgeous.

I feel a whole lot better about my fandom. [Apr. 22nd, 2009|01:07 pm]
So its a typical new comic day, the conversation was on the normal topics. What movies everyone has seen, what books are coming out, and the usual stuff. Anyway we're bagging comics when everyone notices there's a person in a lion's mask at the front door. Craig the owner goes to open the door and she asks if we're open. She walks into full view and she's wearing a leapord print mumu as well. The whole time she's there nothing comes out of her mouth except things involving catwoman. "Is that a catwoman action figure?" "Do you have any cat woman comics?". She's standing in the store and we're just praying she'd leave so we can let out the laughter thats collecting behind the thin veneer we've constructed. I believe I said "Worst vigilante evar!", and that was followed up by another one of the guys saying " I think she likes catwoman." and I answered with " Dude I don't think there's enough for you to make that assumption, quit profiling"

Happy easter muthafucka! [Apr. 14th, 2009|12:28 pm]
So heres how the trip went. Got there at about 6 on friday without a hitch. Its still boring as hell over there but oh well. Saturday we go to rob's funeral, I expected fewer people to be there as rob never stayed in one place for more than a minute. The important people were there so thats whats important. On the way back from the funeral we were driving through a rural area and there was noone around. We just passed a car about two miles back and we hear this crack on the driver's side. Almost like a tire went out but there wasn't any problem steering. Then we looked and the window had two cracks in it, that spread really quickly. I get out of the car and try to see if anyone threw a rock( cause thats all I could figure happened), but they were gone. As we drove back to kris' house we could hear the window spread a bit more everytime we hit a little bump or anything. I taped up the window so we could make it home. My dad and I called around to see what it would cost to get the window replaced, and we got quotes ranging from $200. to $625(his excuse was that the other quotes must be used glass) Anyway I have an appointment next monday for the guy to come fix it. Other than that easter was nice despite the burst of rain, the kids really didn't give a damn.

I'm thinking of doing comic book reviews on youtube. I mean noone knows more about them than me and I'm already reading them. Might as well stop people from making the same mistakes that I did in choosing a bad book. What does anyone think of that? Yay or nay? Suggestions for a show?

You might remember that I wrote about Otto zehm a couple times on here, but nothing has changed so I quess here goes again. A couple years ago while I was at work a few of the store's regulars came in and told be that something was going on at the store about 6 miles down the road. There were cops everywhere. That day I went home and watched the news. What the police said was that the man had tried to take the credit card of two girls at an atm who called it in to the police, and the police beat him hard enough to both hospitalize him, and render him unconsciouse. It also turned out that I sorta knew the guy. His name was Otto zehm, but I didn't know that at the time. All I knew of him was that he came into my old work all the time and that he loved pepsi and snickers. He was an extremely shy person. I only saw someone get in his face once and he just backed away like he wasn't involved. He played guitar in a local band, worked as a janitor, and oh yeah he was mentally ill. That night he went to the store for a snack but stopped at the atm to get some cash out of his account. What the girls saw was a big scary figure with long hair standing behind the car waiting to use the atm, but for some reason they got scared, and called the cops. On his way to the store the cops found him and followed him. After otto went in to get his candy and a pop, one police officer went in after him with his baton in the air. That officer was followed by others all weilding there batons and tasers. Poor otto held up a 2 liter bottle of pepsi to block the batons of the first officer. Then the others rushed him. They beat him to the floor and then hog tied his arms, and legs behind his back. His last words were "All I wanted was a snickers!" he didn't know why this was happening. The police dragged him to the center aisle and placed a rebreather mask on his face without the oxygen tube so that he only had a airhole the size of a dime. He sat there hogtied for about a half hour before they put him on the ambulance to sacred heart medical center where he died two days later. Then began the cover up. They used false information to get a search warrant to find otto's medical information, they leaked stories to the press about him going crazy when he was off his meds. Basically smearing his name in the papers, and denying access to the security video from the store to the press. I'm bringing this up because its been years now and the family has finally decided that they can't come to a settlement with the police because they can't admit that what they did was wrong in anyway shape form or fashion. A man is dead and in their heads it doesn't even warrant a simple "our bad." They came to this decision after another case of police brutality was decided in the cities favor claiming that the man who was shot in the head while he ran away from a drunken off duty officer was self defense. So why wouldn't otto's family come to that conclusion? Why should they expect anymore Respect be paid to otto's life then this man's? The fact is that the spokane police department pay no more respect to otto's memory or anyone else's for that matter because all that matters is that the city should never have to pay a dime in restitution for their actions. I just had to get that off of my chest folks other wise I would have probably said it to a cop and ended up like poor otto.
